I have been gradually turning all my hobbies into jobs or side jobs, whether intentionally or by accident. As far as a full time prospect, graphic design and sewing were neck and neck for a few years; I designed the layout for a 32-page trade magazine for a year, as well as ghostwriting, editing, and designing nonfiction books.
On the other hand, I managed at a fabric store, designed clothes to sell in boutiques, and was starting to learn sewing machine maintenance from a repairman.
Ultimately, sewing or altering clothes and props for photo shoots, events, and displays became my focus, as I enjoy solving all the puzzles that come from making unusual items or altering garments on the fly.
I collect hobbies and interests, and most creative or esoteric things attract my attention. I write urban fantasy novels, study tarot and mythology, and run a meetup group called the Weirdery.
